Wilfred Healthcare Foundation paid a visit to Government Technical Training School, Gembu, where an interactive health education session was held with students on Cervical Cancer and Human Papillomavirus (HPV).
The session focused on creating awareness about the causes, risk factors, signs and symptoms of cervical cancer, the role of HPV in its development, and the importance of HPV vaccination, regular screening, early detection, and timely treatment. Students were also educated on preventive measures, healthy lifestyle choices, and the need to seek medical attention when necessary.
The Foundation encouraged the students to become advocates for health awareness by sharing the knowledge gained with their families and communities, while emphasizing that cervical cancer
is largely preventable when detected early and managed appropriately.
